Abstract
Gastric cancer is second most common cancers and third leading cause of cancer death in Korea. Bone metastasis from gastric cancer occurs rarely and it has a poor prognosis. Bone metastasis diffusely invading the bone marrow with hematologic disorders such as disseminated intravascular coagulation (DIC), microangiopathic hemolytic anemia is called disseminated carcinomatosis of the bone marrow and its overall incidence is rare. Here is a case of gastric cancer with multiple bone metastasis and hematologic disorder. Positron emission tomographycomputed tomography (PET-CT) and whole body bone scan shows disseminated bone metastasis. A biopsy of bone marrow shows infiltration by cancer cells.
